A Million Jagged Pieces
Most little girls have a dream. A dream of what their lives will look like. A dream of white picket fences, fairy tale husbands, and the perfect life.
I know I did.
What happens when life throws you curveball after curveball and you’re left drowning, struggling to keep your head above water? What happens when you finally cave to the pressure until you are left shattered, only a fragment of yourself? What happens when those dreams you held onto so tightly as a little girl slap you in the face day after day and the façade crumbles?
It’s not pretty. It’s not how imagined. And I may not survive it.
Welcome to my life.
